Be proactive about your health!

Postural Restoration uses both manual techniques and exercises (including exercises to be done at home) to obtain and maintain musculoskeletal alignment.

Balanced to Relax

Postural Restoration focuses on alignment and patterns of movement. Once in alignment, your muscles are in a position to relax. Balanced muscles that are optimally aligned are able to stabilize joints and create movement with relative ease. This eliminates trigger points from muscle overuse and positions joints for optimal range of motion. You will be given exercises to do at home to maintain alignment so that you can make yourself feel better. This is the first step of any rehab program. For some individuals, treatment may stop here. Others will progress to more functional training.

Balanced to Perform

Once in alignment, it is important to learn to use your newfound balance of strength and range of motion within your daily movement patterns. For some, this might be learning to walk symmetrically, for another person it may be learning to cut while dribbling a soccer ball. Each individual will be challenged through a progression of stabilization, strengthening and power exercises. Using this progression, we will teach you to move freely without pain at any intensity of movement.
